MASK MONDAY: PUREDERM CHARCOAL BUBBLE SHEET MASK

This is definitely one of the weirder masks that ive tried. I was at Kmart recently and I noticed that they got a whole bunch of new masks in so I filled my basket with almost all of them! One that really stood out to me was this one, the Purederm Charcoal Bubble Sheet Mask. I’ve seen bubble masks on Instagram and have wanted to try them for a really long time.

I honestly don’t this this mask did anything for me. I’ve had weird skin the last week or so because I had my period and I’ve been sick so I don’t want to say that this mask made my skin bad, but it didn’t make my skin any better. It claims to purify and moisturise your skin. Sadly, I don’t really think I can say that it did those things. I think this mask is just a fun sleepover/pamper evening mask that you use with friends for fun. I don’t think the bubbling effect actually does anything for your skin, but I’m really not sure.

The one thing I absolutely hated about this mask was when the bubbles were popping. They’re tiny little bubbles so when they popped it felt like small bugs running around on my skin under the mask and kind of gave me anxiety because I hate bugs. The first time I used this mask I couldn’t leave it on the full time because I didn’t expect that feeling and I freaked out and took it off after about 5 minutes. The second time using it, I knew what to expect so I was able to leave it on for the full 15 minutes, but oh boy. It did not relax me like I had expected!

You may have seen Zoella use this mask in her latest video, Testing Weird Beauty Products and I think that how she used it is the perfect way to use this mask. A fun night in with your friends, testing out weird beauty products. It doesn’t have any skin benefits that I could see after using it so it’s really more of a novelty product.

DEEP PURIFYING BLACK O2 CHARCOAL BUBBLE MASK

I probably wouldn’t buy this mask again but it was only a couple of dollars so I don’t feel like it was really that bad. You get what you pay for, right?

Let me know if you’ve ever tried a bubble mask that did anything for your skin? I’m interested in trying a bubble clay mask to see if there is a difference.

I can’t get my head around this, it’s so bizarre but I think I need to try it just so I can say I’ve tried it. It will be a really weird feeling though and I don’t blame you for having anxiety for bugs, ew!
