I have had a pen pal for a couple of months now and I absolutely love creating little packages, so I thought I’d share what I’ve put together for her this month! I’ve decided to theme them each letter and create my own paper (which I’ve put at the bottom of this post as a download!). This month is a plant theme! I’ve been trying to learn to paint lately and all I’ve really been painting is leaves so I did a little monstera leaf painting for her.
We found each other on Instagram through the bullet journaling community so we like to send each other things that we can use in our journals. I always send washi tape because who doesn’t love washi tape?! This time ive sent three different kinds because I love leafy, plant themed washi tape and couldn’t decide which one to send! I use little plastic things that are used to store embroidery thread (I have no idea what they’re actually called) and wrap the tape around it. It makes it much easier to send in an envelope. I also popped in a few post is notes because they’re always handy to have around!
At the end of each letter we send we always ask each other three random questions as a fun way to get to know each other. This month I asked her:
- Do you play any sports?
- What was the first concert you went to?
- What is your favourite thing to do during the summer?
I had so much fun putting this little package together for her and I had a lot of fun making the letter paper! I really want to share more downloadable things with you all as a thank you so I really hope you like it! I am very excited to make holiday themed letters for her! Sadly I got her letter after Easter so I couldn’t do an Easter theme, but maybe next year!
If you don’t have a pen pal I would highly suggest finding one. It’s so fun to write to someone each month and learn about them and grow a friendship!

LEAFY LETTER PAPER DOWNLOAD
Once you’ve downloaded both images all you need to do is print them! Use the double sided printer option in your printer settings or just print the first page and then add that same paper into your printer again, but turned over, and print the back.

Such a cute post! I’d love to have a pen pal, especially now as everything is online. Asking random questions is such a fun way to get to know each other more too, questions you wouldn’t typically ask somebody!
The printables is such an amazing idea too, love having cute designs on the paper, too! Very picturesque!
