Happy New Year everyone! Today I’m kicking off 2018 with my January Bullet Journal Spreads. I will be sharing my monthly spreads on the first of every month! Each month I will have a different theme in my journal; first up it’s mountains/forests. I did a planning page in one of my sketchbooks a few weeks ago because I had never actually drawn mountains before. I really loved how this page came out and decided that I would do that as my January theme.
I decided to do a vertical monthly page. I feel like it would be better for me than a huge two page calendar spread that a lot of people do.
The next pages are my habit tracker and expense tracker. Habit trackers have been extremely helpful for me since starting a bullet journal. They’ve helped me become a morning person, and not forgetting to take pills, ect.
Also its nice to have a reference for things like the last time I washed my makeup brushes. I am always forgetting the last time I did things like that. I’ve not used an expense tracker before, but I know it will be super helpful (even today my bank balance is odd and I wish I had a reference of where all my money was coming from and going to).
This is my recipes page. I really want to learn how to cook new things this year and also try new things so this page will be for writing down recipes I’ve tried and loved! Next is my brain dump page. It’s basically a page where I can write random things and thoughts that I have. I hate the term ‘brain dump’ but I didn’t know what else to call it, so I just went with what everyone else calls it.
If you have a bullet journal I’d absolutely love to see yours so please tweet me some photos!
I know a lot of people think that bullet journalling is a huge waste of time because it would be easier to get a ready made day planner, but you don’t have to make is as detailed as I do. All you need to bullet journal is a notebook and a pen. The rest is optional. I enjoy sitting down and setting it up because I can change it depending on how busy I am and you can’t do that with a regular planner.
By the way, what do you think of my new blog look? I finally bought myself a new theme and I’m loving it! I also decided to change up the way my blog posts are set out so I hope you like the new look because I absolutely love it!
