This year I decided that I wanted to make most of our Christmas decorations. I wanted to do it last year, but then I found some decorations in Kmart and I had to use them, but this year Kmart didn’t have a lot of stuff so I decided to just make stuff myself! Decorating our fireplace is one of my favourite places in our house to decorate but it felt unfinished with a bare wall. While scrolling on Pinterest I saw someone put a bunch a different sized wreaths on a wall and I just loved it so I made some!
These are super easy to make and if you’re crafty like me, then you probably have everything you need lying around your house! All you need are a bunch of different sized embroidery hoops, hot glue gun, twine, pine branches (real or fake, I used real) and garden cutters to cut the branches to size.
All you have to do is just glue to branches to the hoops and then loop the twine through and that’s basically it! This is super simple but once they’re on the wall, it looks so lovely!
My theme this Christmas was light wood, red, green, and a lot of fairly lights and candles. I basically just wanted it to be very natural and warm and I think these wreaths really make my fireplace come together and look natural and warm. Ours have been up for about a week not and none of the needles have fallen off. I’m hoping that they last until Christmas Day!
I’ve made a few other little decorations so you will be seeing those soon when I post my house tour!
