COOKIE TREES 3 WAYS

05/12/2017

I have wanted to try and make a cookie tree for probably the last three years and I was always too busy making other things so this year I decided to finally do it! I always see them pop up while I’m browsing Pinterest and I just love how they look. They’re the perfect thing to put on your table as a centrepiece. I decided to make three because I couldn’t decide on what shape or what type of cookie I wanted to use. There is a classic Gingerbread tree made with star cookies, a sugar cookie tree made with circle cookies and a dark chocolate cookie made with flower cookies.

This is my Gingerbread star tree! This is the classic Christmas one that I see most people do. I used my favourite gingerbread recipe that I shared a few years ago on here. It was one of my first ever blogs!

The next one is a Round Sugar Cookie tree! I used a recipe from Zoella’s blog. I’ve tried so many different Sugar Cookie recipes and I’ve not liked any of them except this one!

The last one I did was a Flower shaped Dark Chocolate Sugar Cookie! This is my absolute favourite cookie recipe! We use this one all year round and we all love it!
All the trees are stuck together with royal icing (there is a recipe for that on my gingerbread blog post!). I absolutely love how these came out and make a perfect table centrepiece for this time of year!

Thank you! I’m really proud of these photos! It was really hot this day so I had to rush to take them or the icing would melt and they’d fall over!
