CHRISTMAS JOURNAL FLIP-THROUGH

If you’re a long time reader of my blog you will know that I absolutely love Christmas! This year I decided to make a little Christmas journal/planner to help me remember everything I need to do, and also write down some recipes and make some mood boards and inspiration pages. I’ve really been loving it so I thought I’d share what a few of my pages look like to get you all in the Christmas mood and maybe help you get organised for the holidays.

I am the kind of person who needs to write everything down or it just doesn’t get done so earlier this year I started a Bullet Journal (find out more about it here.) which I will be posting about monthly in the new year. It has really helped me keep my life in order and it has even helped me become a morning person which I honestly thought would never happen. Since I enjoyed that so much I thought starting a Christmas one would be a huge help!

Every year we like to send out Christmas cards to our friends and family (you can see our 2016 Christmas card here) so I made a page where I can write down everyone’s names and addressed and make sure I don’t forget anyone. Even right now as I am writing this I have remembered someone I forgot, so this page has really been a huge help!

Buying gifts for everyone can be really stressful and I’m always seeing things and thinking that it would be great for certain people so now I have a place to write it down and make sure we don’t leave anyone out!

I have written out a few recipes in my Christmas journal, the one I decided to share is last week’s blog post, Shortbread 6 Ways. This is one of my favourite spreads in my entire journal. Almost all of the imaged I’ve used in this journal are from FreePik, you can find a lot of free vectors, PSDs and photos. Others are from Pinterest and can most likely be found on my Christmas board.

One page I am really loving right now is my online orders tracker page. I buy so much stuff online that it is hard to keep track of sometimes. This page has already got a few things written in it (that I have edited out) and it’s been a great help.

One thing I really love to do at Christmas is wrap gifts. I want to our gifts to all be wrapped really simple, in brown paper with twine and maybe some greenery. I really love brown paper for Christmas gifts because then you can add things like different twine, wash tape, candy canes or greenery and have that be the main focus.

I have a few quote pages in my journal (mainly because I used pens and markers that would bleed through to the other page) but I really love how they look so I’ll share some more of them down below.
Jason and I are planning on doing a Christmas Cake Bake Off so I thought a cake inspo page would be fun to add. I’ve been thinking about how I want to decorate my cake for a while, but I finally think I’ve figured it out and I’m really excited to make it.

Before I figured out exactly how I wanted to style my house for Christmas I made this page of photos and colours and stuff that I love to try and narrow down the style I like. What I’ve ended up with is a little more white and minimal compared to what I put on this page and I’m really excited to write up a Christmas house tour post (You can see last year’s post here)!

This post was a lot longer than I expected and I didn’t even add all the photos that I took! I’ll probably share those over on my twitter if you want to see them.
Do you have a Christmas planner? If you do, I’d absolutely love to know what kind of things you put in yours.

This is such a great idea, it actually reminds me a bit of when I used to keep scrapbook when I was growing up ☺️

Is it to late to start?

You should definitely start one! I wanted to start scrapbooking at the start of the year, but I much prefer this because it keeps me organised and is a great place to keep memories!
