QUICK AND EASY HALLOWEEN MAKEUP

29/10/2017

I’m not super great at Halloween makeup so I thought it would be a good idea to make a post for people like me who want to do something fun for Halloween but aren’t amazing SFX artists! Here are 3 super simple looks that everyone can do!

SNAKE SKIN

I love green makeup and my Hogwarts house is Slytherin so I absolutely loved doing a snake look! I basically did my makeup as usual but did a green eyeshadow look and then applied a lighter green eyeshadow on one side of my face. I then blended out the edges with a bright yellow eyeshadow. To get the scale look I put a netted wig cap over my face and then put a dark green eyeshadow over the light green area. I then added a light layer of the Fenty Beauty Trophy Wife Highlighter to make it really shine! To finish off the look I used the Serpentina Lipstick from Lime Crime. I also used makeup from Morphe and Sleek.

MERMAID

Everyone has done a mermaid makeup look this year because it’s super simple to do. I made another crown for this look and it was super simple! All you need is wire, tape, hot glue and decorations like shells, starfish and pearls. Twist the wire into a circle big enough for you head and go around the whole thing with tape to hide any sharp bits. Hot glue all of your decorations to it and you’re basically done!

Mermaid makeup is super simple. I went for a pink and blue look, but obviously you can use whatever colours you want! That’s whats so fun about mermaids. I used makeup from Mermaid Salon, Kylie Cosmetics and Lime Crime to create this makeup look because they have a lot of bright makeup. I also put a lot of glitter all over my face to finish this look off!

SPIDER QUEEN

Lastly is this super easy black smoky eye with a spider crown. This is the most basic look of the three, but I still really love it. The crown is made in the exact same way as the mermaid crown, but obviously instead of shells, use spiders. I used a large one for the middle one and then smaller ones all the way round.

For my makeup I used the Kylie Cosmetics Bronze Palette and Lime Crime’s Black Velvet lipstick. If you have a white liquid liner you could draw a spider web on your lips like I originally had planned, but the NYX liner was sold out when I went to buy it. I bought a white Rimmel liner instead, but I didn’t show up very well which was disappointing.

Comment which of these looks are your favourite and also let me know what you’re going to be for halloween!
