HALLOWEEN MOVIE NIGHT + VLOG

Although Halloween isn’t huge here in Australia, it’s getting more and more popular over the years. I love Halloween themed movies so I thought I’d do a post about my ultimate halloween movie night!

I love decorating my house for different holidays, so I went a little crazy with decorations, but I love it! I always decorate our bar with buntings and fairy lights for each holiday. If you follow me on twitter you may remember this bunting from last year, it was too cute to throw away. I decided to add lights to each shelf this year and I think it looks so much better than last year. It made the room feel so much warmer. I put out some of our favourite snacks to have while we watched the movies too! I also put our drinks in some more halloween appropriate serving bottles.

I also decorated around the fireplace, like I always do. You’ll be able to see more of it in the video at the end of this post. Sadly we didn’t grow any pumpkins this year (hopefully next year) so we had to buy one. It wasn’t too expensive though so I’m happy with it! Another thing you’ll see in the video is my Halloween tree! I’ve wanted to do this for a few years and I decided that this year would be the year. I love Christmas and always put up a tree in November anyway, so I put up our fake tree and put coloured lights on there and then covered it in fake cobwebs and fake spiders! I wasn’t able to get a good picture because my camera recently broke on me and all I have is my iPhone. It looks good in the video, though.

Kmart has a lot of super cute decorations this year. These ‘BOO’ balloons are so fun and as soon as I saw them in the store, I couldn’t let them stay. I love the little ghosts with them.

Here is a list of some of the movie’s I’ll be watching this month.

  1. Coraline (2009)
  2. Beetlejuice (1988)
  3. Corpse Bride (2005)
  4. Hocus Pocus (1993)
  5. The Craft (1996)
  6. Sleepy Hollow (1999)

If you were to only watch one on the list, I would suggest Hocus Pocus. It’s one of my all time favourite movies and I watch it even when it’s not October. I don’t really like super scary movies anymore, but I told my husband, Jason, that for one month only I would watch whatever movies he wanted to watch! He has written a post with his favourite movies and video games for Halloween so make sure you check that out when he posts over the weekend (will update once I have the link)!

I really hope you enjoy this post, because I had a lot of fun decorating and taking photos for this!
