My husband and I love coffee scrubs and we are about to run out of our NKD Body packet, so I thought why not make my own! It’s only two ingredients and takes no time at all!

All you need for these coffee scrub bars is 1 cup of coconut oil and ground coffee (make sure it is ground coffee) and then some sort of mould. I used these $2 silicone ice cube trays from Kmart. Basically, all you have to do is melt your coconut oil on a low heat over the stove, make sure you keep an eye on it. It only took about two minutes for mine to melt completely. Once it is melted, pour it all into a bowl and then add your coffee. You can add as much or a little as you’d like. I like a strong scrub so I added about a cup of coffee, but it is really up to you. Once you’ve mixed the two together pour it in your mould and then place it in the freezer for an hour or two. It shouldn’t take too long for them to set.
Once your scrub has set you can pop them out of the moulds and store them in an air tight container in the freezer for up to 6 months!

These would make a really great DIY gift or even something great for your kids to make at a sleepover or party! Just make sure you label the container you store them in. My husband pointed out that these bars really look like little chocolate squares! If you make these, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and I hope you feel great after using them!
