REVIEW: AUSTRALIS COSMETICS

November 28, 2015

I love Australis. They are Australian and cruelty free. Most (if not all? Not 100% sure) of their products are vegan. They are super affordable and great quality. I’m slowly getting an Australis collection together so I decided to share what I have so far!

LIP PENCIL Kiss me Quick & Lady in Red (RRP: $9.49)

When I decided to start wearing lip liner, these were a couple of the first few I bought. I absolutely love them. They are so pigmented and go on so smooth. I personally prefer pencils and not those wind up plastic lip liners, so I really love these for that reason.
I only have two right now because most of my other liners are all brown because that is what I mainly wear and Australis don’t have a dark brown liner. They do have a light nude-y brown that I will try out next time I am in Priceline, though.

★★★★☆

BROWZ IT Eyebrow Perfecting Kit (RRP: $13.79)

This brow kit is incredible. I use it almost every day and it is lasting really well. I used to use the ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit and it wouldn’t last long. Maybe a month or two, but I’ve had this one for about two months now and it is no where near finished. It has two powders and a brow wax. It also came with tweezers and a little double ended brush, but I already have both so I don’t use them. (It does have a mirror but I blacked it out)

★★★☆☆

BLEMISH BUSTER Acne Fighting Primer (RRP: $18.95)

I used to never use primer, but when my sister came to visit she had the original Australis primer and said I had to use one. I bought this one because I couldn’t find the original primer in stock. I don’t think this does anything special that a regular primer doesn’t do. It’s still a good primer though.

★★★☆☆

MATTE BRONZEYED GIRL Eyeshadow Palette (RRP: $9.95)

This palette is beautiful and I still can’t get over how affordable it is. The colours are nice and great for someone with my skin tone. If you read my last post (November Haul) you would know I love brown/nude eyeshadow palettes. The terracotta colour is my favourite right now. I just really love this palette. It is perfect for every day wear. (It does have a mirror but I blacked it out)

★★★☆☆

VELOURLIPS Matte Lip Cream (RRP: 10.49)

Obviously I am a fan of Velourlips. I have almost all of them (I only need 6 more! I’m hoping to get them when Priceline has them on sale next). I pretty much only wear liquid to matte lipsticks right now and the fact that there are so many different shades of these and they are only $10.49 is perfect. The only thing I don’t like about these is, after a few hours of wearing them, they do start to flake off (on me anyway). Some of these colours are a bit too light for my skin tone, but they are so easy to mix, I just mix them with darker colours and make perfect shades for me!
My current favourites are Buda-Pash, Doo-Bai & Mum-Bai. I was so happy when they released the darker colours.

★★★★☆

Australis is an incredible vegan friendly, cruelty free brand and if you haven’t tried them, I 100% recommend them.  Next, I want to try their Finishing Spritz and Pressed Powder. I’ve heard amazing things about their Pressed Powder, but nothing about their Finishing Spritz, so I’m really interested in trying it.
Have you tried Australis before? If you have, what are your favourite products?

I’m new to this brand I’m thinking about ordering some products. What other brands does it compare to, in terms of quality and variety..? (nyx, maybelline, rimmel, or other?)
    Thanks!

I would say NYX is probably the same in quality and variety.

I haven’t heard of this brand before but I can see that they have lovely options to choose. What a great variation of lip cream colours you have!! I love when you like a product and you can get it all the different colours! The eyebrow kit looks really good. I’m fun no 1 of eyebrows kits now. It is such a difference after you apply it!! I feel that my face changes completely just having my eyebrows done. Thanks so much for sharing this at #KCACOLS. Please do you think you could add the linky badge or a link to the linky? Thank you in advance! 🙂 xx

I love this post! I only have the ‘Los Angel-es’ Velourlips and I always have to apply lip balm before it because my lips are so dry. I also love that brow kit! I want to try the Bronze Eye girl though!

I’m totally going to use your tip and mix my Velourlips Hon-O-Loo-Loo with a darker shade. Then I might actually get some use out of it!

Definitely try it! I was so upset when I got mine home and saw how they looked on my lips compared to my hand, but mixing in a darker colour is the way to go! 🙂
